Endless fun for kids (and adults!)

Looking for family-friendly fall activities in the Greenville-Spartanburg area? You’ve come to the right place. Johnson Farms in Inman is the place for your family to have fun — bring your children and create cherished memories together. With so much to do, you’ll want to make a day of it! Here are some of the activities you’ll find on our farm.

Hayrides

COST: $6 per person
WHEN: Starting Sept. 2: weekdays by reservation and all day weekends; through Oct. 31

Tractor-pulled hayrides are always a family favorite. Hayrides offer a fun, entertaining and educational way to see our farm. Enjoy a journey through our farm and see what Johnson Farms is all about. Each hay ride wagon has a host to guide you along the way, familiarize you with our safety rules and make sure everyone is ready for the adventure. You will also enjoy many classic storybook characters peeking out at you along your ride on our Storybook Character Trail. Allow about a half hour per hay ride. Children ages 2 and younger ride free with a parent. Ride may include other farm guests, and your host might even sing you a song!

Gem Mine

COST: $7 – $9 per person
WHEN: Daily, Sept. 2 – Oct. 31

Go back in time and discover fossils, arrowheads and gemstones at our mining station. Our gem mine is the largest outdoor gem mine in the Upstate. Pan for fossils, arrowheads, small gems or large gems. The whole family can mine at one time, because our sluice can accommodate up to 60 people at once. Keep what you find and identify your treasures at our assay stations. Mining is fun and educational for all ages. It’s exciting to see what you will discover!

Corn maze

COST: $8 per person; $34 for a family of five; one trip through maze
WHEN: Daily, Sept. 2 – Oct. 31; last entry at 5 p.m.

If getting lost in a six-acre corn maze is your style, then you’ll enjoy exploring our multi-themed maze that is filled with riddles and fun facts. There will be clues along the way to keep you on the right path. No GPS is needed here — just a little energy and a some curiosity. Geography class was never this fun! Allow about 30 minutes to really enjoy the maze. We recommend close-toed shoes with socks for your comfort and safety. Children ages 2 and younger admitted free with a parent.

Pumpkin Patch

COST: Prices vary based on size
WHEN: Opens mid-September, through Oct. 31

You can pick your very own pumpkin from our pumpkin patch or buy one already picked in our country store. We grow many sizes of pumpkins; one is sure to be perfect for your family. You may visit the pumpkin patch and pick your own (we’ll provide the wheelbarrow), or choose from the many sizes and varieties available at the farm store. When pumpkins are available, we will post additional information here and on our Facebook page. Our pumpkins are priced by size. Choose as many as you need in the sizes that you want. If you choose to go into the pumpkin patch, please wear appropriate shoes and attire. Closed-toed shoes with socks are a must when you visit our farm.

Pedal cars

COST: $5 per person
WHEN: Weekends, Sept. 2 – Oct. 31

Take a spin with our pedal cars. Pedal cars offer lots of fun and excitement. Race family and friends on our hay-lined track.

Our farm playground is perfect for an afternoon of fun. Let your kids work off their energy while you enjoy relaxing views from our farm.
